Susan Egles, CFRE

Philanthropic Architect

Sue has a diverse fundraising background both in and outside of Inspire.  Since joining the firm in 1997, her broad fundraising experience has resulted in extremely creative and successful programs.  With a strong ability to understand what makes each organization unique, Sue has overseen fundraising campaigns with goals ranging from $1.5 million to $100 million.  Sue has worked directly with more than 150 charitable organizations spanning the education, health, arts and culture, sports and social service sectors in most provinces.  Sue's consulting career commenced after her graduation from Queen's University, where she worked with a U.S. consultancy primarily in post-secondary education.  Sue has a strong interest developing best practices in major gift fundraising and speaks frequently at industry conferences to share her experiences.  She is especially attuned to the changing role of volunteers and the development of strong staff and volunteer partnerships to achieve exceptional results.

Chris Hobbs, CFRE

Philanthropic Architect & Partner

Chris joined Inspire in 1989 (then Navion) as one of the Firm's early campaign directors.  He worked all over Canada leading capital campaigns in faith-based organizations, health care and social service charities.  For many years, Chris managed and directed all of our church related programs.  With more than 50 clients experiences over the years, Chris moved on in 2007 to become Director of Philanthropy for the Renascent Foundation.  While at Renascent, Chris completed a $6 million campaign and oversaw the entire development program.  Chris has always enjoyed the ability to assist a variety of clients and in 2010 he returned to Inspire.  Chris has developed a particular reputation for his depth of fundraising knowledge; campaign plan development and implementation; major gift activities and now with the practical experiences at Renascent, he has a full complement of development expertise.  Chris obtained his university education at Grove City College, Pennsylvania and McMaster University, Hamilton.

Sue Lawrenson, CFRE

Senior Philanthropic Architect

With 25 years of experience in fundraising, Sue Lawrenson has extraordinary knowledge of capital campaigns, annual funds and major giving programs for the charitable sector.  She prides herself on her interpersonal skills and enjoys working in a team environment.  Sue's strength is in volunteer management.  Over the years, she has recruited countless volunteers and conducted many motivational training sessions, which have helped volunteers and staff to achieve successful fundraising results.  Sue has worked with a number of small organizations, doing an excellent job of preparing them for fundraising.  Although her professional background is in fundraising, Sue has a keen interest in the performing arts and has been an active participant, both on and off stage, in many theatrical productions.  Sue is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, with an Honours Bachelor of Music Degree.

 

 

Gary Nadalin

Senior Philanthropic Architect
