Susan Egles, CFRE

Sue has a diverse fundraising background both in and outside of Inspire.  Since joining the firm in 1997, her broad fundraising experience has resulted in extremely creative and successful programs.  With a strong ability to understand what makes each organization unique, Sue has overseen fundraising campaigns with goals ranging from $1.5 million to $100 million.  Sue has worked directly with more than 150 charitable organizations spanning the education, health, arts and culture, sports and social service sectors in most provinces.  Sue's consulting career commenced after her graduation from Queen's University, where she worked with a U.S. consultancy primarily in post-secondary education.  Sue has a strong interest developing best practices in major gift fundraising and speaks frequently at industry conferences to share her experiences.  She is especially attuned to the changing role of volunteers and the development of strong staff and volunteer partnerships to achieve exceptional results. 

 

Sandy MacKenzie

Philanthropic Architect & Partner

Sandy has two decades of experience in fundraising, public relations and marketing with a variety of institutions seeking philanthropic support. He has conducted over 25 campaign feasibility studies and worked on more than 16 capital campaigns with goals totaling more than $600 million. Sandy has held a number of senior fundraising positions for both charities and philanthropy consultants, including vice-president and campaign director of the Royal Ontario Museum for its “Renaissance ROM” campaign; vice-president, development for the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation and associate vice-president, western Canada with Inspire (Formerly DVA Navion). He also held senior fundraising roles with the Rehabilitation Institute of Toronto (now Toronto Rehab) and the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry Foundation (now The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health). Sandy has a hands on role with a variety of clients that includes campaigns to build a new children’s treatment centre and an expansion of a community hospital, as well as strategic planning for several charitable organizations.
